Work Team--Tuesday

We had a good day today with the work team from Kansas. In an amazingly short time they hauled the heavy, cement beams from our side yard up to the second story, where they put them in place for the roof. They then hauled up some 330 heavy, cement roof blocks and put them in place. The problem is, they did it so fast that they almost worked themselves out of a job before noon! It helps to have Ben and Nate, who are big, strong, hard working, farm kids!

The girls were up on the roof of the church, spreading tar, which is to seal the bricks so that water won't enter. Martha said that she took a lot of pictures of that, so I will get them from her in the morning.

Some of the church ladies came to help me with meals, so we had a good time in the kitchen. We fixed scrambled eggs with bacon, and potato patties for breakfast, enchildads, beans and rice for lunch, and ham and cheese sandwiches and fruit pizza for dinner.

I didn't get a lot of pictures today, and will try to do better tomorrow.
